OBAMA NOT SECURE IN COLORADO, SAYS FORMER DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR

With polls showing Colorado and its nine electoral votes a toss-up between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, a former Democratic chairman made headlines last week when he told the Associated Press that the Centennial State “is the worst [swing] state” for the Democratic president.

Floyd Ciruli, a former chairman of the state Democratic Party and independent pollster said that the president, “[S]hould be doing better and he isn’t. “It’s the worst [swing] state of the bunch for him; isn’t that amazing? It’s the place we thought he could use as a model.”

Ciruli’s withering assessment comes two years after Colorado defied the national Republican trend by electing Democrats John Hickenlooper and Michael Bennet as governor and U.S. senator respectively
